The update is slated to go live on December 3.

Despite some wins across its various business efforts, Fitbit's mounting losses provide some insight as to why the company was looking to sell.

According to Google's blog post announcing the acquisition, we can expect to see more "Made by Google" wearables alongside Fitbit devices running Wear OS.
