The mobile news coverage that MedTech Media has published at the mHIMSS.org news site is getting a new home and a shot in the arm.
On June 27, mHealthNews.com will launch with daily news for professionals responsible for managing the delivery of healthcare through mobile devices. The site will take a fresh look at the vibrant world of mobile health, including smartphone apps, telehealth, and emerging standards for the delivery of healthcare technology through wireless devices. You can expect more in-depth reporting on the application of the technology in the real world, with an honest look at both the success and failures of new initiatives.
Along with news and expert commentary, mHealthNews.com will feature blogs from experts in the field, video interviews and slideshows, infographics, a calendar of events and aggregated content from other news sources.
At the same time, the mHIMSS.org web address will redirect to HIMSS.org/mobilehealthit, where it will continue to be a destination for the HIMSS Mobile Community. mHIMSS will build on the existing HIMSS strengths of convening stakeholders, sharing knowledge and providing world-class education, public policy, research and content – entirely focused on the use of mobile technologies. HIMSS.org/mobilehealthit will be the host for the mHealth Community Powered by mHIMSS, which will provide updates on policy, industry thought leadership and mHealth strategies for providers.
mHealthNews.com will also serve as the destination site for the mHealth Summit, the industry's leading event, held every December in the Washington, D.C. metro area. This year's summit is scheduled for Dec. 8-11 at The Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.
The new site will continue to provide the articles published at mHIMSS.org and will continue to provide its free newsletter to subscribers who have opted in to the mHIMSS email.
